2016年度 第8回 クラスマザー会 議事録
１．アキラさんのお料理教室報告（お料理教室委員リーダー）
アンケート結果：受講者24名のうち22名から回収したアンケートでは、参加人数、メニュー、参加費のすべてにおいて満足度100％で、大成功となりました。
会計報告：参加費410ドル／支出407.18ドル→残金2.82ドルは園へ寄付。

２．30周年記念について（30周年委員長）
【記念トートバッグの販売状況】
4／5（水）より販売開始した記念トートバッグは、売れ行きが順調で、デニム（小）、ナチュラル（小）のバッグはすでに完売、ナチュラル（大）はまだ在庫があります。お買い上げいただきました皆様、ありがとうございます。
【記念Tシャツ販売開始】
販売期間：お便りばさみを通してオーダーフォームを配布中。受注締切は4／22（土）。
サイズ：トドラー（2T、４T）、ユース（XS、M）、大人（S、M、L）を取り揃え、色は、白、黒、グレー、ラベンダー、蛍光緑、トドラーにソフトピンクの限定色、ユースにデニムの限定色を用意した全７色。大人用は白、黒、グレー３色のみ。（サイズの融通がきくため、上記以外のサイズをご希望の際は、その旨を申込フォームに記入してください。）
値段：子供用15ドル、大人用17ドル
申込方法：申込フォームに、おつりのない現金を添えて、アテンダンスシート横の専用箱へ。
色とサイズによって、翌週に渡せるものもあれば3週間ほどお渡しに時間がかかるものもあり。受け渡しに時間がかかる場合は、オーダーを受け付けたのち、30周年委員よりご連絡します。
【30周年記念の会（8月19日／土）のお知らせと出欠確認のお願い】
メールでもご案内しましたとおり、こどもの家の30周年を記念し、記念の会（在園生の部）を行います。夏ならではのラムネやかき氷のリフレッシュメントや、スタンプラリーなどの楽しいイベントを用意して、にぎやかな会にする予定ですので、ふるってご参加下さい。
なお、リフレッシュメントやイベント・チケットの準備のため、後ほど、各クラスのクラスマザーが出欠の確認をさせていただきます。ご協力お願いします。
【記念の会の概要】
日程：2017年8月19日（土）
時間：午前9時半（受付開始）～午後12時
場所：こどもの家の園庭
内容：記念礼拝／園長先生のごあいさつ／特製スタンプラリー／リフレッシュメント付の夏祭り企画
※在園生と卒園生がいらっしゃるご家族の皆様は、両方の会にご出席いただくことができます。
【ドネーション募集について】
ドネーション募集サイト「gofundme」にて、記念の会の運営費用のご協力をお願いしています。下記フォームより、ご協力いただけると幸いです。

上記キャッシュドネーションのほかに、記念の会（在園生の部／卒園生の部）のリフレッシュメントやイベント用に、
①食べ物・飲み物・お菓子など

③お土産用の品物（ご家族が関わられているキャラクター商品やキャンペーン商品など）
のドネーションを募集中。
アテンダンスシート横にサインアップシートを置きますので、ご協力いただける場合は、そちらへご記入ください。母の日参観最終日の5/12（金）まで受付予定。
②③については、こどもの家の保護者の皆様のお仕事や活躍の場の宣伝にもなればと思います。
３．きく組の敬老訪問について（きく組クラスマザー）
毎年恒例のきく組による敬老訪問が、当初予定の4/19（水）から5/31（水）に変更。バスの予約がとれなかったこと、入居者の方々の体調がおもわしくなかったことが理由。
きく組保護者の皆様に、バス乗車の希望者数を事前に確認した上で、5月にバス乗車の申込書を配布予定。バス・レンタル自体の料金があがっているため、園児1人につき、9ドル近くになる予定です。
４．運動会について（運動会委員リーダー）
【開催概要】
日時：5月21日（日）午前8時半集合／午後1時半終了予定
場所：Oak Ave Intermediate School（6623 Oak Ave, Temple City, CA）
【お弁当について】
今年も東西マーケットのお弁当を手配。価格は大人弁当8ドル／子ども弁当5.50ドル
【注文受付スケジュールについて】
①申込み用紙の配布：4/14（金）のクラスから順次配布
②申込み用紙回収箱をアテンダンステーブルに設置
③注文申込み最終日：5/6（土）
※原則として、チェックのみ受付（例外的に現金の受け付けも可能）
※お弁当申込みに関しての質問等は、運動会委員knisportsday@gmail.comへお願いします。
【運動会に向けてのお願いとお知らせ】
組振り分けについて
例えば、年少（れんげ／もも／すみれ）に通っているが年中の競技に出る、または、年中（きく／うめ）に通っているが年少の競技に出場など、お子様によって、出場組が変わってくる場合があります。対象となる園児の保護者には、クラスマザーよりお知らせします。
準備ボランティアについて
年度始めに運動会のボランティアへサインアップ下さった方、途中入園された方を対象に、運動会委員より、お願い・ご説明のメールを送らせていただきます。ご不明な点は、いつでも運動会委員までお問い合わせ下さい。
キャノピー貸し出しのお願い
クラスごと観客席用に、一定数のキャノピー（テント）が必要となります。お貸しいただける方がいらっしゃいましたら、4/25（火）～5/5（金）までに、アテンダンスシート横のサインナップシートにご記入お願いします。ご協力よろしくお願いします。
競技ボランティアについて
競技中にお手伝いいただくボランティアさんを、後日サインアップ式で募集します。詳細は、一斉メールでお知らせします。「冒険コース」では、たくさんのお父様のお力が必要です。ご協力お願いします。

【お気持ちウィークの報告などの会計報告】
第2回お気持ちウィーク（2／22～3／11）の売上は、203.56ドル（ガレージセール売上59ドルを含む。半額の101.78ドルは園に寄付、半額は父母会の収入として計上)
今回残った品物は、スリフトストアのドネーションを受け付けるシステム利用を試みたものの、かなりの量のドネーションでないと受け付けられないと言われたために、在園生の保護者がガレージセールを行いました。
→（園長先生）いただいた寄付額は、ししおり小学校へ約100冊の絵本を送った際の郵送代にさせていただきました。ありがとうございます。
【クリスマスDVDについて】
クリスマスDVDをお申込みいただいた方々に、お便りばさみを通じてDVDを配布中。不備があるものがあれば、園に予備をお預けしているので、園長先生に交換依頼をしてください
６．ファンドレイズ（幾留さん）
【Ｔシャツ】オーダーを締め切りました。運動会前に配布予定です。
【スクリップ】4／14（金）から、スクリップの申込書を、お便りばさみで配布予定。4月末に締切、5月末までに配布予定。引き続き、各種カードの在庫をオフィスにて販売しています。
７．園長先生より
運動会につきまして、皆様のご協力をお願いします。
5／5（金）にハンティントン・ライブラリーでこどもの日のイベントを行います。金曜日のクラスが終わり次第、現地に向かい、3時半頃～5時まで折り紙ブースを出す予定です。
→（大神さん）3時ごろからエントランス付近にスタンバイし、先着70名ほどに無料で入園できる入園証をお渡しします。数に限りがあるため、ご両親のみを対象とさせていただきます。

1. Chef Akira’s Cooking Class (Cooking Class Leader)
Survey Result: From the survey 22 out of 24, rated 100% satisfaction. The event was a great success.
Accounting report: participation fee $410.00/expenses $407.18. The difference of $2.82 was donated to KNI.

Fun
Food was delicious
French cuisine was easier than expected and became more familiar.
There were many familiar ingredients and my motivation toward cooking has gone up.
It was fun to be able to see the professional’s techniques.
It might be better to have some gadgets (like mirrors) so we could see inside of the pot and bowl.
There seemed to be a lot of preparation for this class, I’m so thankful for the committees’ efforts. Thank you.

2. 30th Anniversary Information (30th Anniversary Committee Leader)
【Anniversary tote bag sales report】
4/5 (WED) we started selling 30th Anniversary tote bags and sales has been great. Denim and small size natural color tote bags are sold out, and only large size natural colors remain. Thank you for your purchase.
【Anniversary T-shirt sales】
Order forms were sent home through the newsletter folders. Deadline for the orders 4/22 (SAT)
Sizes: Toddler (2T, 4T)/Youth (XS, M)/Adult (S, M, L) 7 Colors: white, black, grey, lavender, neon green, soft pastel pink (toddler only), denim (youth only). Adult colors include: white, black and grey, 3 colors.
(Special sizes can be ordered. If you wish to order the sizes not in the form, please specify what size you wish to order.)
Pricing: Toddler/Youth sizes $15, Adult sizes $17
How to order: Submit order form along with exact cash payment in the designated box next to the attendance sheet.
Depending on the size and color there maybe a difference in delivery date. Some shirts may arrive a week later and some may take 3 weeks. The 30th Anniversary committee will contact you if the order encounters delays.
【30th Anniversary reunion (8/19 Saturday) announcement and participation request】
As in email from the Anniversary Committee, we are going to have an anniversary event celebration the 30th birthday of KNI (for current KNI children). We will provide refreshments including shaved ice and ramune (soda), and also have fun activities such as stamp rally. (Each booth will have a different stamp. The children will have to travel through all the booths to collect and fill up their stamp card.) Please consider participating!
For the preparation for the refreshments and activities, Class Mothers will ask the attendance soon.
When: 8/19/2017 (Saturday)
Time: 9:30 AM (Check-in starts)~12:00 PM
Where: Kodomo No Ie playground
Content: Memorial Service/Greetings from Encho Sensei/Special Stamp Rally/Refreshments and summer festival. *Families that have current students and alumni students can attend both events.

Aside from cash donation from the link above, we are accepting refreshment donations as well.
1. Food, drinks, snacks etc.
2. Coupons, gift certificates for raffle prizes. (Hair salon, nail salon, photo session)

There will be donation forms next to the attendance sheets, please sign up by 5/12 (Friday) We will be accepting sign ups till the Mothers Day Open House.
As for 2 and 3 above, we hope it can be a place to advertise and help promote your business.
3. Kiku Class Nursing Home Visit (Kiku Class Mother)
The annual visit to the nursing home was initially scheduled on 4/19 (Wednesday) however, we were not able to reserve the bus in time and health conditions of the residents at the nursing home were not well, so it got postponed to 5/31 (Wednesday).
Because the rate has gone up to charter a school bus, it will average to about $9 per student.
4. Sports Day (Sports Day Committee Leader)
When: 5/21 (Sunday) 8:30 meet time/end time expected to be 1:30 PM
Where: Oak Ave Intermediate School (6623 Oak Ave. Temple City, CA)
【About the Obento】
We will be ordering obento from Tozai Market. $8 for Adult obento and $5.50 for kid size obento.
【How to order the Obento】
1. You will receive order form from school on 4/14 (Friday)
2. Submit order form with payment in the designated box by the attendance sheet.
3. Last day to submit order form: 5/6 (Saturday)
*We will only be accepting checks so we can keep track of all orders. (If you can only provide cash, please let us know)

【Sports Day announcements and requests】
How the groups will be divided.
Class grouping: For those whose children are in multiple grades, please make sure with your class mothers which class group your child will be assigned to. (Example: Students in both lower and upper level classes may end up competing with lower level students)
For the set up volunteers the day of.
Volunteers are made up of people who volunteered at the beginning of the year as well as parents of new students. Volunteer information, which includes duties and sign-up procedure, will be sent via email from Sports Day Committee. Please don't hesitate to contact the Sports day committee with any concerns or questions.
Tents/Canopies
We are collecting tents/canopies by class. If you could lend your tent to us, please sign up on the forms next to the attendance sheets by 5/5 (Friday) Thank you!
Event Volunteers
We are in need of volunteers. Details will be sent via KNI email. And we are especially in need of Father volunteers for “Let’s Adventure!! ; Circuit Game”. Please inform Sports Day Committee for further information.

5. Other
We collected a total of $203.56 for the second rummage sale, which includes $59 sales collected from the garage sale. The half amount of total sale, $101.78 will be donated to KNI. The rest is added to the KNI PA income.
Remainder of the items from rummage sale was taken to a thrift store; however, the store won’t accept the items unless in large quantity, families of current KNI students held a garage sale with the remainder of the items.
-(Encho Sensei) The donation from the rummage sale was used for postage stamps to mail the 100 books to Shishiori Elementary School. Thank you for all your contribution.
Christmas DVD: We are distributing the DVDs using KNI newsletter holders. If any of you happen to have defective ones, please contact Encho Sensei for replacement.
6. Fundraise (Mrs. Ikudome)
T-shirt orders have ended and will be delivered before Sports Day.
Scrips order form included along with newsletter on 4/14 (Friday) Due date will be end of April and products will arrive mid May. We will continue to sell gift cards at the office.
7. Encho Sensei
The success of Sports day depends on your support! Please help us by volunteering for this event. Thank you.
5/5 (Friday) There will be a Children’s Day event at the Huntington Library. We will head over as soon as the Friday class ends and will hold an origami booth form 3:30-5:00 PM
-(Mrs. Ogami) Around 3:00 stickers for entry will be handed out to the first 70 people. Due to limited entry, we could only hand out stickers to the parents of the KNI.

5／5（金）にハンティントン・ライブラリーでこどもの日のイベントを行います。金曜日のクラスが終わり次第、現地に向かい、3時半頃～5時まで折り紙ブースを出す予定です。
→（大神さん）3時ごろからエントランス付近にスタンバイし、先着70名ほどに無料で入園できる入園証をお渡しします。数に限りがあるため、ご両親のみを対象とさせていただきます。

Survey Result: From the survey 22 out of 24, rated 100% satisfaction. The event was a great success.
Accounting report: participation fee $410.00/expenses $407.18. The difference of $2.82 was donated to KNI.

There were many familiar ingredients and my motivation toward cooking has gone up.
It was fun to be able to see the professional’s techniques.

Sizes: Toddler (2T, 4T)/Youth (XS, M)/Adult (S, M, L) 7 Colors: white, black, grey, lavender, neon green, soft pastel pink (toddler only), denim (youth only). Adult colors include: white, black and grey, 3 colors.
(Special sizes can be ordered. If you wish to order the sizes not in the form, please specify what size you wish to order.)
Pricing: Toddler/Youth sizes $15, Adult sizes $17
How to order: Submit order form along with exact cash payment in the designated box next to the attendance sheet.
Depending on the size and color there maybe a difference in delivery date. Some shirts may arrive a week later and some may take 3 weeks. The 30th Anniversary committee will contact you if the order encounters delays.
【30th Anniversary reunion (8/19 Saturday) announcement and participation request】
As in email from the Anniversary Committee, we are going to have an anniversary event celebration the 30th birthday of KNI (for current KNI children). We will provide refreshments including shaved ice and ramune (soda), and also have fun activities such as stamp rally. (Each booth will have a different stamp. The children will have to travel through all the booths to collect and fill up their stamp card.) Please consider participating!
For the preparation for the refreshments and activities, Class Mothers will ask the attendance soon.

3. Kiku Class Nursing Home Visit (Kiku Class Mother)
The annual visit to the nursing home was initially scheduled on 4/19 (Wednesday) however, we were not able to reserve the bus in time and health conditions of the residents at the nursing home were not well, so it got postponed to 5/31 (Wednesday).
Because the rate has gone up to charter a school bus, it will average to about $9 per student.
4. Sports Day (Sports Day Committee Leader)

【About the Obento】
We will be ordering obento from Tozai Market. $8 for Adult obento and $5.50 for kid size obento.
【How to order the Obento】
1. You will receive order form from school on 4/14 (Friday)
2. Submit order form with payment in the designated box by the attendance sheet.
3. Last day to submit order form: 5/6 (Saturday)

【Sports Day announcements and requests】
How the groups will be divided.
Class grouping: For those whose children are in multiple grades, please make sure with your class mothers which class group your child will be assigned to. (Example: Students in both lower and upper level classes may end up competing with lower level students)
For the set up volunteers the day of.
Volunteers are made up of people who volunteered at the beginning of the year as well as parents of new students. Volunteer information, which includes duties and sign-up procedure, will be sent via email from Sports Day Committee. Please don't hesitate to contact the Sports day committee with any concerns or questions.
Tents/Canopies
We are collecting tents/canopies by class. If you could lend your tent to us, please sign up on the forms next to the attendance sheets by 5/5 (Friday) Thank you!
Event Volunteers
We are in need of volunteers. Details will be sent via KNI email. And we are especially in need of Father volunteers for “Let’s Adventure!! ; Circuit Game”. Please inform Sports Day Committee for further information.

5. Other
We collected a total of $203.56 for the second rummage sale, which includes $59 sales collected from the garage sale. The half amount of total sale, $101.78 will be donated to KNI. The rest is added to the KNI PA income.
Remainder of the items from rummage sale was taken to a thrift store; however, the store won’t accept the items unless in large quantity, families of current KNI students held a garage sale with the remainder of the items.
-(Encho Sensei) The donation from the rummage sale was used for postage stamps to mail the 100 books to Shishiori Elementary School. Thank you for all your contribution.
Christmas DVD: We are distributing the DVDs using KNI newsletter holders. If any of you happen to have defective ones, please contact Encho Sensei for replacement.
6. Fundraise (Mrs. Ikudome)
T-shirt orders have ended and will be delivered before Sports Day.
Scrips order form included along with newsletter on 4/14 (Friday) Due date will be end of April and products will arrive mid May. We will continue to sell gift cards at the office.

5/5 (Friday) There will be a Children’s Day event at the Huntington Library. We will head over as soon as the Friday class ends and will hold an origami booth form 3:30-5:00 PM
-(Mrs. Ogami) Around 3:00 stickers for entry will be handed out to the first 70 people. Due to limited entry, we could only hand out stickers to the parents of the KNI.
